Laura McCaughey, t-LMHC

I obtained my Masters in Clinical Counseling from Western Illinois University and have over ten years of experience in mental health, including non-profit harm reduction work, substance use group work with incarcerated individuals, holistic treatment settings, menstrual cycle education and advocacy, spiritual exploration and acute crisis hospitalization.

 

I enjoy working with humans all across the lifespan, inviting intentional curiosity and cultivating joy for all. Transparency regarding the therapeutic process with each client is of utmost value to me. As a clinician, I believe our entire human experience is an opportunity for deeper understanding and meaning, strengthening the presence within the here and now. It is my duty to guide you on your journey to reveal what already dwells within you.

 

We will work together to create and hold the space that provides the ingredients you desire and need to reach the goals we create together. As a Somatic Experience Practitioner in training, my focus is to aid us in allowing the body to tell the story; creating organic opportunities for the nervous system to speak in conjunction with what your words need to tell. We no longer have to always do such hard things!! I look forward to walking alongside you.
