Fun Fact About Me:
I was a barista for 5 years and I am professionally trained in espresso, so I am a coffee snob. I may or may not have a coffee themed tattoo to prove it ☕️
A Bit About Me
My name is Rebecca Recinos, and I am a Masters-level Intern at Quad City Psychotherapy. I will receive my master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2025. I received my bachelor’s degree in human development and psychology from Life Pacific University in San Dimas, California in 2017. Before solely focusing on graduate school, I was a Family Consultant for a social work agency and a pastor where I helped individuals reach wholeness and their full potential emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
My approach to counseling is rooted in empathy, authenticity, collaboration, and deep care. I create a nonjudgmental space for anyone to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences freely. Together, we will work towards reaching goals, uncovering insights, developing coping strategies, and promoting positive change.

Areas of Special Interest & Training
I enjoy working with young adults who are dealing with depression, anxiety, church/religious trauma, and body image. Whether an individual is going through a life transition, navigating personal turmoil, wanting to improve their relationships, or dealing with church hurt/trauma, my space is free to navigate these things. I use cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based approaches to meet an individual where they are and empower them.
It takes courage to embark on the journey of self-discovery and growth, and I commend you for taking this first step. I look forward to the opportunity to walk alongside you!
