Quad City Psychotherapy is excited to welcome Pamela Carlson Long to the practice in May of 2023. Pam is now accepting new patients at our Bettendorf office.
Pam provides a safe, confidential, and accepting space where you can tell your story. Courage to explore pain and suffering and willingness to be vulnerable are the touchstones of growth, healing and transformation. In partnership with you, Pam will honor your resilience, recognize strengths, establish goals, and plan for change. Pam works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, phase of life and relationship issues, addiction and recovery, trauma, and illness.
Pam's approach is collaborative, holistic, and evidence based. She draws on Internal Family Systems, Interpersonal Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Enhancement, Mindfulness approaches, and healthy living habits. Pam works to be culturally responsive, LGBTQ+ affirming and social justice oriented.
Pam earned her MSW from Syracuse University in 1981 and has many years of practice experience in a variety of settings. Additionally, Pam enjoyed a full-time appointment teaching in an MSW program for 21 years, having recently retired. Pam is licensed in Illinois and Iowa and is seeing clients in the Bettendorf office and via telehealth.
